We are almost there!

Progress is happening!

First an update on our progress. Tomorrow we are meeting with an attorney to review some things for our LLC, which we have now! (Yay!) But we also are expecting a draft of the contract! (It’s about time!) If everything looks good and we don’t have to make any changes, we could be on our way by the first of next week! And we could be revealing the plantation this weekend! (fingers crossed)

I don’t know about you, but I am dying to tell!

NEW Item for the Menu!

Tonight I made a Sweet Crepe with a sweet cream cheese filling with slices of bananas and topped with blueberry compote. I also added some fresh blueberries on top of the compote to give you that snap of the fresh berries with the smooth compote. No leftovers in our house!

Sweet Crepe with Bananas and Blueberries

NEW Antique Finds!

Sunday I had to go back to an antique mall in Virginia Beach to pick up a creamer that I missed with the tea set I purchased a few weeks ago. I ended up coming home with five new plates for the afternoon tea parties! We are making progress in finding the china that we need!

  1. So exciting, I love the dessert and the plates are gorgeous. I have 12 of the top plate that I found in an antique store in Brooklyn. Will your B&B be pet friendly?? I want to make a reservation if it is.

  2. I love looking for them. It is so much fun! I don’t think we can make the main house pet friendly, so much as we would love to. The house was built in 1791 and has some really important history attached to it. We are planning on builting some cotteges to match the outbuildings we currently have. When we do, we will make them pet friendly. We would love to have you come! Did you figure out the plantation yet?

  3. I totally understand that the main house would not be pet friendly, there is a b&b I go to in Vermont that has the same set up, really cute cottages for people with pets. Still working on figuring out the plantation, getting close I think.

  4. I think that would be best for ours too! We love pets including our plantation dog Hurley. Just have to be mindful of the history we are in charge of and responsiblity that goes with it. We should be revealing it soon. Not much longer!

  5. Oh man!!!!!! I need one of those banana blueberry things!
    Tea parties. Crepes. China. Ahhhhh!
Sorry lost it there for a minute. Great post 😀

  6. Thank you! Get a hold of yourself! Or you won’t be able to handle the reveal! If you come see us, remind me and I will make you one of those banana blueberry things! 😉
