Belle Grove Plantation

On this day, two years ago, Brett and I walked into this beautiful Mansion and Plantation for the very first time. It is hard to believe that we are now two years into our journey to open Belle Grove Plantation as a bed and breakfast.

It has been an amazing journey. We have met so many wonderful and generous people along the way. We have had so much support from our family, friends, Facebook friends and Blog Friends. We have gotten past a lot of pot holes in the road and found ways around obstacles.

We want to stop and thank everyone who has reached out to us, to give of themselves through support, words of encouragement and just good old manual labor. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! We wouldn’t be here without you!

Now as we draw closer to that ever elusive Opening Day, we look forward to the future and to opening this historic and elegant plantation to the public.

AA-Thank you

Thank you for allowing so many of us to walk through this with you. I know it is not the same as being there sweating and working, but it has established your venue with us. For that I am greatly appreciative. I know you are probably bombarded with ideas about the estate there, but here is one more for the back burner or whenever you would decide it is feasible. Have you ever thought about a vineyard on your property? Grapes in Virginia were supposed to be the big money crop before tobacco, but they did not make it until later. If you are interested, I could sit down with you and tell you a little of what you are in for. Scott

  9. Thank you Scott! We have thought about it in the future. We want to get the doors open first then start thing about the next step. But we welcome any advice on the subject. Maybe if you come to the plantation, we can sit down over a glass of Virginia Wine and discuss your ideas!
