Belle Grove Plantation Becomes a Bed and Breakfast and Makes Press Again!
Thanks to one of our Facebook readers, we woke this morning to find that we have made the morning paper in Fredericksburg!
It is really getting exciting!
Belle Grove Plantation will become bed-and-breakfast

King George supervisors approved a special exception to allow a bed-and-breakfast at Belle Grove Plantation, the birthplace of President James Madison.
In making the motion to approve the request, Supervisor Joe Grzeika called it “one of the easy ones.”
“I think it’s a great asset to King George County,” said Supervisor Cedell Brooks Jr. “It’s a beautiful piece of property.”
Brett and Michelle Darnell plan to widen the driveway, add a gravel parking lot and pave a small portion of the drive, off U.S. 301. They’ll operate a luxury bed-and-breakfast and do outdoor catered events.
