An Evening with Edgar Allen Poe

Delve into the strange and bizarre world of Edgar Allan Poe through his writings. Characterized by Poe himself as tales if ‘ratiocination,” these stories and poems revolve around crimes so strange and inexplicable that they prove nearly impossible to solve. He would describe his poetry as the rhythmical creation of beauty.
Spend the evening with Edgar Allen Poe as he talks of his early life to his tragic marriage, his insane grief, his dramatically failed career, his links to an unsolved murder, and the mystery of what happened to the writer in the days before his unsolved death. Why did Poe disappear and then show up a few days later in an incoherent state, wearing another man’s clothes and carrying a stranger’s walking stick?
Our evening includes a cocktail and heavy hors d’oeuvres. As you enjoy the food and drink, beware! Special games will be afoot! Dress in your best dark Regency and sparkling jewels. Was that a Raven I just heard?
