Accommodations
Our historic and stately mansion, built in 1791 on the banks of the Rappahannock River has four Master Suites with luxurious, private baths and enchanting views of the river and plantation. Each room is named after families that lived at Belle Grove Plantation through the years and each is decorated in period antiques to reflect the period that family lived at Belle Grove. From the Conway Room with its Rare 1830 Acorn Full Tester Bed and 1720 Highboy Chest to the Turner Room with its 1860 Half Tester Victorian Bed and 1885 Cheval Mirror, our rooms will allow you to get lost in another place and time.
During the month of December, Belle Grove’s Historic Mansion will be fully decorated for the holiday season and is guaranteed to get you into the holiday spirit.
Each year, we will close Belle Grove for one week starting the Monday after Thanksgiving. During this time, some amazing people come and decorate one room in keeping with our theme for the year. This year’s theme is “Holidays in December”. Most of these people have spent the year before planning their holiday wonderlands. We reopen on the first Saturday to the public. Each person that visits Belle Grove is invited to tour the mansion and vote for their favorite room. The top three rooms receive prizes.
This year, we are offering an all-inclusive overnight experience that is sure to get you and your family into the holiday spirit. Arrive early and enjoy our “Dickens Period” staff as they serve you a cup of holiday cheer.
